Chasing Crusoe - http://www.rcrusoe.org/

Multimedia-site where you click around to learn about facts and fiction in the story. Interesting and very well done in certain aspects, but no analysis and almost nothing about Friday. How is this possible in 2008? What do you think?

Chasing Crusoe was produced by students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication and the Universidad de Los Andes, Facultad de Comunicación

Nice to meet you like this too, students!

I very much look forward to reading your comments on this novel. Do write now and then to share your reactions! You will give us all another perspective on the text. Don't wait until it is done.

The first discussion is over and it was okay. We talked much about how we would try to survive on an island, without company from other persons. We all agreed that you pretty soon have to make a choice, the choice between trying to make a life worth living alone, or if you just can't make it. Robinson Crusoe starts a life at the island, and makes a structure and that's a big reason why he makes it. It will be interesting to see how he reacts when he meats Friday in the book. To see if there are any differences between the book and the film. Or what do you say guys?

What do you mean with "meat Friday" Per? Do you think he will kill him and eat him? :P No I´m just kidding. Yeah the meeting will be interesting. It will be fun and see how they will react at the sight of eachother.

Haha! Oops =)

Thank you, dear Johan, Per, Christian, Henry and Joakim, for your book discussions live at school twice.

It was with tears in my eyes (typical sentimental Hultman style :-)) I told Eike about your performances.

You have shared with the group such a fantastic in depth analysis of this great classic. You have all added different perspectives which made us all look at the novel with fresh eyes.

Excellent job, guys!
I'm proud of you!

By the way,
what themes will you now write about?
We brought them up last time we met.

Jay-Jay sa...

Yeah Juntorp, it's very sad that Stocken has not participated in this discussion. It would be great to know some of his thoughts about this book. We had a very good discussion at school some days ago tough.
I haven't decided yet whether I'll be writing about being lonely or meeting new people, but I will make that decision soon!

Rasmus Juntorp sa...

Maybe you can think about that during your and marcus way to Malmö! Hope you have a really good time during the concert!

After our two discussions I will now start to wright about the themes in the book. I don't think it will be any problems at all because we've found so much to talk about in the discussions. Like: Lonelyness, structure and friendship. Thank you everyone for great discussions. /Per
