Märta sa...

Let's read half of the book until the first book discussion. CU!

Märta sa...

Okey, we have changed it to five chapters.
I've read them now and to be honest the book is quite boring. The part I've read is a quarter of the book and it's not coming anywhere. The only thing I've found out is that the girl Esther Greenwood won a competition and the price was a trip to New York. Hope something's happening soon!

Okey, it’s not easy to have a discussion all by myself so come on girls :) The book is very depressing and you can easy see how she feels. Not only because she says which feelings she has but also on the way she writes. I feel sorry for the girl because I know that it’s never easy to know what you’re going to do with your life. Any comments? :)

How does she feel?

What are the reasons for her feelings?

Give her some advice to get a better life.

Tell me how you understand from the style, the writing, that she changes and is on her way down into a black hole.

Like Märta says, come on girls!
Show me what you have!

Märta sa...

She feels sad and doesn't know what the meaning of life is. It's hard to read about how she wants to die and every time she tries to commit suicide she fails.
In the beginning I didn't understand why not anybody could try to help her but then I realized that she only can help herself. She has to find something in life that she likes and wants to live for. The book is so much better now and I hope it ends well!
